The MO has been chortling recently over this year's birthday present selection. This evening he explained that I'd have to open it early because... well, no room in the closet, the box is too big, whatever, etc. Anyhow, apparently my dearly beloved husband is much more confident in my learning abilities than I am at this point! But leaving that aside for the moment, check out my very own PINK guitar that has HELLO KITTY ON IT!!! How cool is that?!?
After taking this picture, the MO pointed out that NOBODY cool holds a guitar that way, but hey, I was looking at it, not posing for a rock'n'roll poster (hahaha yes, everyone who knows me has collapsed in a fit of lunatic laughter because their brain just imploded trying to come up with that image), and besides, I have never EVER claimed to be cool (see previous parenthetical comment) (just in case the picture wasn't enough to prove it)....
I loooove my new kitteh!! Thank you, sweetie :-)
The MO and I were discussing baseball jerseys a while ago (I don't really remember why) and he commented that if he got an Astros jersey, he didn't know whose he'd get. My response was enthusiastic and immediate. "Biggio!" It was a no-brainer, as far as I was concerned. Chances are good I hopped around a little bit doing the BIG-GI-O BIG-GI-O chant as well, just for emphasis....
Anyhow, I didn't think anything more of it, not being much of a polyester fan (can you believe they make these things out of polyester?? ick!) but look what showed up as an early birthday present!!
Maybe a little polyester is okay after all ;-)
All together, now...
BIG-GI-O! BIG-GI-O BIG-GI-O!!
Here's to the two best penguins who ever....
- dated brothers
- survived multiple canoe trips despite Marshmallow the alligator
- adopted each other's parents
- squealed non-stop at the Billy Squier concerts
- knew all the words to the "old" LZ songs at the Robert Plant concerts
- ate anchovy pizzas and tubs of chocolate ice cream
- were the "assets" of ATP
- kicked ass and took names in hard-hats and on factory floors
- and, most important, held each other's hands and hearts through the ups and downs of it all
Enjoy your day :-)
