I forgot to post these a while ago....
The coolest boots at the rodeo were mine, of course ;-)
But this one was a close second....
Yes, the eyes light up. Kids could not resist....
The MO and I got to pick up my anniversary-present boots yesterday. Leddy's comes to Houston in the fall to deliver the boots that folks ordered at the rodeo in February (and take orders to deliver at the next rodeo, which the MO took advantage of). They were all excited at how well my boots came out, and I must say they're even more gorgeous than I possibly thought they could be. I got lots of compliments on my color and pattern selections :-)
Everything about them is perfect, from the beautiful bright blue kangaroo to the awesome lizard toe-and-heel decorations. The flowers and vines are incredible, and the stitching is even pretty on the inside (blue thread on white leather). The initials on the pulls are a cool touch--I thought they were going to be sewn, but they are inlaid too--and I love the little stars around the scalloped top edge.
They are so pretty that I insisted on a quick shopping trip to find a skirt so I wouldn't have to cover them up with my jeans ;-) They're great with jeans, too, though. Mostly you see the toe, so you get just a hint of the incredible blue. I think I'll be wearing them A LOT....
