(Not that I need more, but you know....)
Lately my allergy sufferings have been including really itchy eyes, and this afternoon I caught myself scrubbing at my eyelids and I commented that eyes were starting to feel itchy. The MO, bless his fuzzy little heart, said, "I'll bet some champagne would help with that." And whaddayaknow, it did!
I may have to adopt a sub-motto--something like "bubbly cures all ills" sounds about right.
If a man comes home from the grocery store with not only a bottle of cava, but also two incredibly perfectly ripe peaches, you know he loves you. (A glass of bubbly full of peach slices counts as breakfast, right?)
If he then sets about brining shrimp for the evening meal's appetizer, and then chases you out of the kitchen while he makes something secret, which turns out to be bolognese sauce so that you can have yummy tomatoes on your pasta later in the week when he's having kale & sausage on his (which is good and all, but not your favorite...), well then, you know he really loves you.
He gives you dance lessons for your birthday. And shows up with you. At the lessons....
God only knows what kind of saintly life I lead in a previous life to have TWO husbands willing to take dance lessons with me. All I have to say is, if you're a single guy, or a husband who wants to spice it up, THIS IS THE WAY TO DO IT.
ATTENTION ALL MEN: Women like to dance. Face it. Get over it. Get out there. Get laid.
It must be genetic. Make an effort, and you will be rewarded. Guaranteed.
What was (or is) your favorite subject in school?
Oh, this is an easy one. Math, hands down. I was the dork who did all the geometry problems instead of just the even or odd ones that were assigned. I skipped ahead in my algebra book. Sailed through calculus. Picked my major in college based on which engineering discipline had the most interesting-looking math classes (Industrial, that would be).
I did get sidelined by programming, though, although I don't remember really loving it til grad school. Seems to me that math and programming are really similar, though. Logical steps, breaking big problems down into little problems, nifty tricks here and there.... Being neat and tidy helps, too, although that trait doesn't necessarily carry over into the physical world, as the MO and my officemates will attest.
And the fact that the MO was a math major and actually really understands the esoteric stuff and routinely uses integrals and derivatives in his daily job? Sexy. Very sexy....
